The session opens in agreement. Evers Lane leaves the splice audible on purpose — 'that's my hand, not a machine's' — Roan Patina leaves the count-in on the tape, and Delta Marlowe leaves the hiss in, all three treating an audible seam as proof that a person, not a program, made the sound. For one round they are building the same floor from three separate rooms. That agreement does not survive round one.

Roan is the one who breaks it. Handed the same warm, visible-splice claim by both bandmates, Roan sands it instead — 'I strip the warmth out of coldWarm, thin the density down' — and that single choice sets the shape of the next nine rounds. Evers holds the opposite position for the whole session, pressing the same thumbprint back in warm every time Roan lets it go cold, insisting a fragment held is not a fragment kept. Delta refuses to pick a side at all, burying Roan's erosion and Evers's insistence under the same tape, then — in round seven, the take the Producer chose — clearing a window in that pile so Roan's one scraped-back print reads through clean without anyone removing anything. It is Delta's most literal answer to the fight underneath it: keep both truths audible instead of settling them.

By round ten the split has not closed. Evers is still pressing the thumb warmer at 108 BPM, on a take the release also kept. Roan has moved from sanding to outright subtraction — 'I'm the reason there's less to weld' — a take the distinctness judge wanted on the release and didn't get. Delta ends the session flooring the hole Roan wore into the tape rather than filling it, which is as close to a verdict as this session offers: not resolution, just a floor under an argument nobody won. Listen to rounds one, seven, and ten in sequence and you have the whole shape of it — the break, the compromise, and the refusal to be welded.
