Quiet, lo-fi bedroom pop. EST. ERA 2020S
Every album Marlowe Quiet appears on — sessions, tapes and the records they brought with them.
Marlowe Quiet is the recording name of a twenty-three-year-old who never meant for anyone to hear this. She started tracking vocals inside her bedroom closet in Portland, coats pushed aside, phone propped against a shoebox, a string of fairy lights taped to the wall for company. Her songs began as texts she typed but never sent — screenshots of almost-goodbyes saved to a folder she named 'later.' Working over hushed guitar loops and tape hiss recorded at 2am so her housemates wouldn't hear, she leaves in every breath, every swallowed word, every accidental creak of the floor. The result feels less like a performance than eavesdropping on a diary. She has played exactly four shows, all in living rooms, all by candlelight, and cries at most of them.
“Some songs stay drafts on purpose.”
